"You may all go to Hell and I will go to Texas"  --  Davy Crockett spoke these words in 1835 when he ran for a seat in the United States Congress (representing the state of Tennessee). He declared that if he lost the election the people in his district "may go to hell and I will go to Texas".   Well Davy Crockett lost the election.  He joined the Volunteers in the fight for Texas Independence and died at the Battle of the Alamo on March 6 1936.

This large (16 oz.) cobalt ceramic blue mug reads  "Texas: The Lone Star State" on one side and "You may all go to hell and I will go to Texas -- Davy Crockett" on the other side.
